Beginning February 1 and continuing through April 17, AARP Foundation is providing free tax assistance and preparation through its Tax-Aide program. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, celebrating its 50 th year, is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service. Since its inception, the program has served more than 50 million taxpayers.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation help to anyone, especially if you’re 50 and older, and can’t afford a tax preparation service. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide understands that retirement or other life changes may mean your taxes are a little more complicated now. Last year, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers helped more than 19,440 people file their federal and state tax returns.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service, is seeking volunteers across the state to help Mississippi taxpayers who are seeking assistance preparing and filing their 2012 tax returns.
