In the Spirit of Ethel: A New Monthly Series Celebrating Connections, Camaraderie, and Community

We're thrilled to announce the launch of Ethel’s Clubhouse -- a fresh, welcoming monthly get-together designed to bring people together for connection, learning, and plenty of fun!

Inspired by Ethel Percy Andrus, the visionary founder of AARP, this new activity honors her legacy of service, empowerment, and improving life for all as we age. Ethel was a pioneering educator (the first female high school principal in California) and advocate who established AARP in 1958 to champion better opportunities, security, and dignity for older Americans. Her spirit of community and lifelong learning lives on in this clubhouse series.

Ethel’s Clubhouse is open to everyone -- volunteers, community members, AARP members, and non-members alike. It's completely free, and a great way to meet new people, engage your mind, and enjoy connecting with others in a relaxed setting.

Each month features a different engaging activity, so there's always something new to look forward to!
