AARP Montana and Northern Broadcasting Team Up to Keep Montanans up-to-date on State’s Legislative Session

Join AARP Montana Director of Government Affairs Mike Batista and Voices of Montana show host Tom Schultz as they break down Montana's Legislature.

As part of our ongoing advocacy work, AARP Montana is collaborating with Montana radio broadcasting powerhouse, Northern Broadcasting, to keep Montanans informed on the latest activity at the 2021 legislative session.

In this weekly radio segment, we break down the Montana Legislature so you don't have to. We dig into what's happening, drill down into the “why” and find out how it affects you.

The Legislature makes the laws, controls the money and creates the rules that govern life in Montana. Each Friday, we ask these questions: What happened this week? How does it affect your life? We look behind the bill numbers and political discussion for the context in the 2021 legislative session.

“AARP Montana brings the ‘voice of the consumer’ to the Capitol in Helena,” said Mike Batista, Director of Government Affairs for AARP Montana. “As one of the state’s largest non-profits, we work to protect Montanans from fraud, support family caregivers, lower prescription drug prices and protect Social Security and Medicare. We fight for all Montanans -- helping people choose how they live -- and how they age. Part of our advocacy work involves keeping people informed about what happens at the capitol in Helena.”

Stay up-to-date on how we’re fighting for you.  Tune-in every Friday morning at 9:00 AM on your local Northern Broadcasting station for the AARP Montana Session Summary radio segment.

The Voices of Montana show airs on local radio stations in communities across the state. Find your local station by clicking here.  Northern Broadcasting station list.
