Under a new law, Nebraska voters must show photo identification at the polls, starting with the Tuesday, May 14, primary election.
Acceptable forms of ID include a Nebraska driver’s license or state ID card, a passport or a military or tribal ID. Voters who forget their ID may fill out a provisional ballot and present an acceptable form of identification to their county election office by the Tuesday after the election.
Early in-person voting runs from Monday, April 15, to Monday, May 13. On primary day, polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. MT. Confirm voting details at sos.nebraska.gov, under Elections. Get more information at aarp.org/nevotes.
