AARP New Mexico is hosting a night at the ballpark on June 2, when the Albuquerque Isotopes play the Sacramento River Cats. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.
AARP will have a booth at the game where fans can pick up information about caregiving, fraud and Medicare. The first 3,000 visitors can also get a pair of socks with the AARP logo and an image of Orbit, the Isotopes mascot, winding up for a pitch.
“We want our members to have a fun night where they can come together and have a good time,” said Shanna Lapsley, AARP associate state director for multicultural outreach. “At the same time, we want to give them a sense of what AARP is all about and the work we do right here in New Mexico.”
