The Events Will Focus on the Basics of Medicare
Albuquerque – UnitedHealthcare will host Hay Más Adelante, a free health and wellness educational event, in Albuquerque, Saturday, Aug. 11 th, to help seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries learn more about Medicare and their health care coverage options. It will be held at the The Albuquerque Museum, 2000 Mountain Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87104, with one event starting at 10:30 a.m. and the second at 2:30 p.m.
The event -- hosted by AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company – will feature renowned keynote speakers, such as Latin Grammy Winner Vikki Carr, to engage and motivate participants in a celebration of health.
Carr, joins the initiative to share her personal experience and insights on embracing aging with health and vitality. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from Chef David Ruiz, executive chef ejecutivo at Toltec Brewing.
“I’m honored to be part of this initiative that motivates Hispanic seniors to stay healthy, positive and active,” Carr said. “At Hay Más Adelante, I hope to inspire members of the Hispanic community to see the opportunities ahead, regardless of their age.”
Attendees will also learn about the basics of Medicare – including the different parts of the program, eligibility requirements and enrollment windows.

“Attendees will come away from these events with information that will help them find the Medicare coverage that best fits their health needs and budget,” said UnitedHealthcare’s Renzo Jara, who will facilitate the Medicare education portion of the events. “Not only will they learn how to find Medicare coverage that best fits their health needs and budget, but they’ll also learn healthy Latin Cooking and fun recipes that will help them lead a healthier lifestyle.”
