The City of Mandan, in partnership with AARP of North Dakota, has launched Art on a Box, a community-driven public art project that enhances the visual landscape of downtown Mandan. Ten local artists submitted their unique and vibrant artwork which is being transformed into eye-catching wraps on utility boxes located throughout the city.

"We are thrilled to partner with AARP to bring this unique and exciting public art project to Mandan," said Mayor Tim Helbling. "Art has the power to transform and revitalize public spaces, and Art on a Box is a wonderful way to showcase the talent of our local artists while beautifying our city."

The Art on a Box project promotes art and culture by transforming ordinary utility boxes into reflections of the creativity and diversity of the community. Selected artwork represents a wide range of styles and themes, including landscapes, wildlife, abstract designs, and cultural motifs.

"AARP is proud to support this project, which promotes community engagement and enhances the livability of our communities," said Janelle Moos Advocacy Director for AARP North Dakota. "Art connects people and creates a sense of place which help make Mandan a more vibrant place to visit, live and work. "
