Fraud covered at upcoming telephone town halls

AARP North Dakota is conducting two telephone town halls in the coming weeks. While many AARP members will receive a call on the dates noted below, you can ensure your ability to participate by calling 1-855-962-1463 at the times and dates noted here.

Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m. we'll be on the line for a candid conversation about romance scams with Kate Kleinert who will address the physical and emotional toll she experienced as a victim of this crime. Paul Greenwood will share insights on how to triumph over the embarrassment often felt, report the crime to law enforcement, and why we should (and can) do more to investigate and prosecute fraud criminals.

On Friday, Dec. 15 at 9:20 a.m. we'll address the latest frauds and scams and ways to identify and report scams in North Dakota in a conversation with Parrell Grossman and Marina Spahr, ND Assistant Attorneys General.
