Property taxes on ballot in November?

Local county and city commissions provide transportation, meals for older adults, and public health nursing care in communities across North Dakota. These services keep older adults at home and in their communities across North Dakota and are often funded by property taxes. We also know that some older adults, especially those on fixed incomes, are concerned about property taxes. AARP has long fought for relief programs for these individuals.

Right now, a petition is being circulated for signatures, that will eliminate property taxes. Read the language of the ballot initiative here.

If organizers gather the necessary signatures, you'll be asked to vote on this measure in November. We'd like to know if you've heard about this measure and where you stand on it should it make the ballot. Click here to tell us more.

Voters 50+ are a powerful group, and your vote helps share communities where we can all thrive as we age.
