AARP is a sponsor of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 60 th Anniversary Tour. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is renowned for celebrating the human spirit through the African-American cultural experience and the American modern dance heritage.
AARP members and guests may purchase discounted tickets at 15% off (excludes seats in the Dress Circle and Balcony sections). Standard tickets are priced from $10 to $80 without taxes and fees. If you are attending, join us at the reception on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 6:00-7:30 PM. It will be in the Gund Dance Studio at the Idea Center, Playhouse Square. Afterwards, we will walk to the KeyBank State Theater that is ½ block away. The Ailey Artistic Director will tell us about the performance and AARP’s support. Registration is required for this complimentary reception. To register yourself and your guests for the reception on Saturday, April 27, please register online.
Immediately following the performance, AARP members and guests have an optional backstage tour to meet a couple Ailey dancers and hear about their lives with the Company. Guests may ask questions and take photos with the dancers.
