AARP proudly acknowledges the legacy of the courageous men and women who answered the call for our country. In honor of those who chose to serve the nation and their communities, AARP Ohio is offering everyone who registers, free parking and admission to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The National Veterans Memorial and Museum is a unique, interactive experience, which focuses on sharing the inspiring stories from all service branches and all eras of conflict and peacetime service. This beautiful new museum was recently opened in the fall of 2018 and is best described as neither a war memorial nor a military museum, but a narrative journey telling individual stories and shared experiences of Veterans throughout history. Paying tribute to the sacrifices of servicemen and women and their families. History is presented in a dynamic, participatory experience with photos, letters and personal effects, multi-media presentations, and interactive exhibits.

Guests are welcome to join us anytime between 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday December 7, 2019. All veterans in attendance are invited to participate in a special honor ceremony beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall. In addition to free parking and admission for registered guests, AARP Ohio will provide free information for family caregivers and fraud protection tips during two special presentations and light refreshments will be available throughout the day.
