An accessory dwelling unit is an affordable housing option that benefits all ages and communities. Watch our recorded webinar to learn more about this age-friendly housing alternative that can be adapted for different household types, income levels, employment situations and stages of life.

AARP Ohio’s The ABCs of ADUs includes a presentation from ECONortwest and Orange Splot on what an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) is and its benefits, and a moderated panel interview of municipalities that have addressed permitting the construction of ADUs in their communities. Speakers include the city of Cincinnati and the city of Dayton. Both will share their journey to permitting the construction of ADUs, the community’s receptivity to ADUs, the interest and response to building ADUs.

Help spread the word of ADUs throughout Ohio’s 50+ community, family caregivers and those interested in learning about the benefits of ADUs and how municipalities have addressed permitting the construction of ADUs in their communities.
