Are you nearing retirement and exploring new opportunities? Or, are you wondering how you will manage once you retire? A growing number of individuals over the age of 50+ are turning to small business ownership. We call them “encore entrepreneurs.” Whether you are interested in starting a small business right away or intend to wait until retirement, now is the time to explore the possibilities. AARP and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and REI Oklahoma have joined forces to reach out to these encore entrepreneurs to make them aware of the many resources that are available to them to take them from an idea to actually starting a business.
We invite you to join us for an informational and inspirational session on video content marketing and how it can benefit your business. This workshop will benefit any entrepreneur or business owner, especially 50+, looking to start or expand your business. You’ll learn to create your own video marketing for your business. You’ll learn about the volume of video being consumed online as well as essential tips and tools for producing and editing your own videos.
Other topics to be covered include:
- Video topic ideas and how to generate content so we move beyond the pitfall of hard selling and learn to keep the audience involved
- Where to use your videos, from social media to YouTube to your website
- Participants will have the opportunity to record their own “trial run” video to get experience and feedback!
There will be plenty of time for Q&A with instructor Stephen Koranda and hands-on practice!
This educational opportunity is free but pre-registration required. You don’t have to be a member of AARP to join us! Lunch or breakfast provided with pre-registration.
