AARP Oklahoma is hosting a virtual conversation on the AARP Oklahoma Facebook page on Thursday, April 25, at 11 a.m. to discuss AARP Oklahoma's advocacy work.

AARP Oklahoma State Director Sean Voskuhl and AARP Oklahoma Advocacy Director Joy McGill will discuss AARP Oklahoma's efforts at the state Capitol, specifically supporting HB 3318/ SB 1763, which prohibits unscrupulous real estate brokers from misleading homeowners into signing decades-long agreements that give the brokers the exclusive right to sell the home.

They will also share updates from our efforts at the Corporation Commission regarding proposed rate hikes from OG&E and PSO totaling more than half a billion dollars. OG&E's proposed $332.5 million rate hike would cost customers an additional $19 a month or $228 a year. PSO's proposed $218 million rate hike would cost customers an additional $10 a month or $120 a year.

The media and public are encouraged to ask questions during this interactive Q&A.
