May I submit a nomination on someone else’s behalf?
Yes. Please remember all applications must be complete for consideration.

What are the nominee requirements?
A nominee must be
- an enrolled member of one of Oklahoma’s 39 tribal nations.
- age 50-plus.
- must be living. 

How are the honorees selected?
Nominees are selected based on their impactful contributions to their community, tribal nation, and/or country. Honorees are selected by AARP staff and volunteers.

When is the 2024 AARP Oklahoma Native American Elder Honors celebration?
The event is November 6 in Oklahoma City at the First Americans Museum.

Does a nominee have to be an AARP member?
No, AARP membership is not required for nominees.
