New Absentee Voting Option for June 30, 2020 Primary Election

AARP Oklahoma encourages voters to request an absentee ballot for one, or all, 2020 elections, including the upcoming June 30 primary. All June 30th primary absentee ballot requests must be received by Tuesday, June 23 at 5 p.m.

- To request an absentee ballot, visit elections.ok.gov or call your county election board.

- In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may now simply include a photocopy of an acceptable personal identification document with your absentee ballot to vote in the June 30 primary.

Accepted Identification Documents:
o Driver’s license
o State-issued ID card
o Tribal-issued ID card
o Voter ID card (the paper card with polling place information)

- If you can’t make a copy of your ID call the Oklahoma State Election Board at 405-521-2391 or your county election board. Request a copy of your Voter ID card be mailed to you. Then, mail back the Voter ID card with your absentee ballot. Another option is to have your absentee ballot notarized. Here’s a helpful tip... see if your bank offers drive-thru notary services.
