Dispose of Sensitive Documents at AARP Shred Events

Shred

Safely dispose of old tax returns, bank statements and other important documents during AARP’s free shred events, held in locations across the state from May through July.

Rhode Island consumers reported more than 14,600 incidents of fraud and related incidents in 2024, including 2,800 cases of identity theft, according to Federal Trade Commission data. Shredding old documents that contain personal financial information is a good way to guard against such crimes.

Find details at aarp.org/RIEvents. Registration is recommended but not required.
