Bottoms Up: Join in on Candidate Happy Hours

election

Ahead of pivotal November elections, AARP South Carolina is working with local media to understand how candidates will address issues affecting older residents.

The state office is sponsoring Pints and Politics, a happy hour at which attendees can hear directly from public officials and candidates for local, state and federal offices. The conversations are led by reporters for the Charleston-based Post and Courier newspaper. Attendees may submit questions. AARP does not endorse political candidates but encourages eligible citizens to vote.

Recent guests have included Gov. Henry McMaster (R), columnist Kathleen Parker and members of Congress from both parties. To stay apprised of upcoming Pints and Politics sessions, you can visit aarp.org/sc or follow @AARPSC on Twitter.
