AARP’s new Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Scorecard finds that care provided in the United States for older adults and people with disabilities is inadequate. The report finds major gaps in every state, such as the cost of home care, the long-term care workforce and support for family caregivers.
AARP South Dakota recently received the Lyn Bodiford Award for Excellence in Advocacy for the team’s efforts to pass Medicaid expansion at the ballot box last November.
AARP South Dakota hosted volunteers from across the state in Chamberlain earlier this month for their annual Volunteer Summit with its nature-inspired theme of “Volunteering is Always in Season.”
