Once again, AARP Tennessee and AARP Kentucky are cosponsoring a Welcome Home festival for veterans. The event will run Wednesday through Sunday, Sept. 12-16, in Clarksville, Tenn., home to Fort Campbell, on the border between the two states.

The festival will feature the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, a parade, food and wine tastings and a concert. The celebration honors everyone who served in the armed forces and is open to the public, with some free and some ticketed events. More than 10,000 people are expected to attend. AARP members can get an 18 percent discount on ticketed events by using promo code Welcome50.

Fort Campbell is one of the nation’s largest Army posts, and Tennessee and Kentucky combined are home to more than 780,000 veterans. Go to welcomehomeveteranscelebration.com for details.
