AARP Texas is looking for our next State President, the top volunteer position that provides high-level strategic advice, helps oversee the AARP Texas Executive Council and a diverse volunteer corps, and advocates for people ages 50 and older.
In partnership with the State Director, the State President helps position AARP Texas to achieve the Association’s vision, mission and strategic priorities. The State President actively supports volunteers, serves a key spokesperson on local, state and national issues, and helps develop and execute the priorities of AARP Texas.
If you are an experienced leader with a strong knowledge of Texas and its political environment, this position may be for you. The State President serves two years, with an option from the Texas State Director to renew.
