AARP DC Looking for Speakers Bureau Volunteers

AARP Missouri "SPeak Out! volunteers

AARP’s Speakers Bureau provides helpful guidance to local community groups on a wide range of topics important to older adults, such as caregiving, health care, driver safety, encore careers and fraud prevention.

To keep participants safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sessions are offered online. The presentations are well suited to civic organizations, church groups, senior villages and support groups.

Talks typically last 30 to 60 minutes, although they can be tailored to meet a group’s needs.

AARP District of Columbia is also looking for Speakers Bureau volunteers to present to groups. You don’t have to be a professional public speaker to join; training is provided.

For more information, contact Emily Pickren at epickren@aarp.org or call 240-338-7662.
