Dear Volunteers,

As we wrap up 2025, I want to recognize and thank you for the extraordinary contributions you’ve made this year. Your commitment and creativity have been the foundation of everything we’ve accomplished together.

Thanks to your engagement, we advanced policies that matter deeply to Washingtonians. From new Memory Care standards to expanded protections for residents at CCRCs (continuing care retirement communities), and continued work on WA Cares, your voices helped shape decisions at the state level. At the federal level, your outreach protected Social Security from major customer service changes and contributed to bipartisan support for the Credit for Caring Act.

This year, we reached a record number of individuals – more than 13,000 engagements statewide. Whether it was celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Social Security, conversations on brain health, protecting individuals from fraud and scams or supporting disaster preparedness, as volunteers you brought energy and purpose to every event. Together, we create spaces where people feel informed, supported, and listened to.

And we’ve had fun! From the walks in Spokane, Movies for Grown-Ups, or our presence at farmers markets, community fairs, and the Mariner’s game – it’s about creating moments of joy and opportunities to connect with one another.

As we prepare for 2026, our focus remains clear: advancing caregiving, financial security, and livable communities. Your partnership as volunteers is more critical than ever to reaching and supporting our communities.

Thank you for your time, your energy, and your unwavering commitment. You are the heart of this work, and I am deeply grateful for all you do.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright new year.

With appreciation,
Marguerite Ro
