AARP Virtual Community Center Offers Interactive Online Events & Classes

The AARP Virtual Community Center, is a robust online destination for AARP members and non-members alike. With everything from free movies, concerts, cooking classes and museum tours, to exercise classes, trainings for the 50+ worker, caregiving help, and lectures from top professors, the virtual center offers free interactive online events and classes designed for learning, self-improvement, and fun.

Whether you are looking for entertainment, lectures, exercise, job tips or caregiving connections, you can find it all at the AARP Virtual Community Center. You can search for activities by the calendar date, or explore various categories to find the experience right for you.

The Virtual Community Center uses Zoom and a few other online platforms to allow users with common interests to learn together. These events are live and allow for interactivity — speaking or typing — with others in attendance. It’s not on-demand video. Most events are scheduled at specific days and times and require that you register to participate.

"The Virtual Community Center is designed in many ways to be like an in-person community center. You sign up for a class and go to it” online, says Heather Nawrocki, AARP’s vice president of fun and fulfillment.

The Virtual Community Center events and activities are FREE to all… you do not need to be an AARP member to participate.
