The podcast is meant to serve as a resource for families in West Virginia and beyond, providing information and tools to assist individuals as they prepare to care for a loved one or if they already are in the midst of the family caregiving journey.

Jane Marks, AARP West Virginia volunteer



Jane Marks is a wife, mother, daughter, pet owner, grandmother, and all around busy person. Like many of you she is juggling as fast as she can. She recently retired from her long standing position as Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association, WV Chapter, and serves as a volunteer with AARP West Virginia.

Jane is committed to the cause of Alzheimer's and dementia. Through her professional experience as well as her personal experience serving as a family caregiver for her mother, Jane developed a broad knowledge and a keen awareness of the impact Alzheimer's or a related dementia has on families.

She is acknowledged by health care professionals as a subject matter expert and is a published author of multiple journal articles on aging and Alzheimer's disease, as well creator of multiple training curriculum on aging and caregiver issues.
