AARP Kansas is pleased to once again co-sponsor the annual Wichita Pride Family Picnic at O.J. Watson Park in Wichita on Saturday, June 17, 2017 beginning at 11 am.  Bring your family and friends for food and fun. A Wichita Pride 2017 button is required to attend. Buttons cost $5 and may be purchased at the event.

On Sunday, June 18, AARP Kansas volunteers and staff will also be part of the Pride Parade which starts at 1 p.m. at 510 N. Main Street. AARP will have a booth with information and resources at the Pride Festival following the parade.

The Wichita Pride Parade follows a one-mile route along Central Avenue from the Historic Sedgwick County Courthouse to the Mid-America All-Indian Center.

All parade entries include a single vehicle permit. All marchers and riders in the parade must wear a Pride 2017 button. Additional vehicle permits are available. Buttons will be available for sale before the parade starts.

If you have any questions, please contact the parade director. For more information about the weekend's activities click here.
