The AARP offices in Wisconsin and Minnesota, along with the Better Business Bureaus of both states, are teaming up to host a fraud awareness event on Tuesday, Oct. 24, in La Crosse.
Speakers from AARP, the FBI and the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators will discuss topics such as government impostor scams, online safety and romance scams. The event will be held at the Radisson Hotel, 200 Second St. South. The event, including breakfast, is free but registration is required. Visit events.aarp.org/unmaskingscammers for more.
