AARP Eye Center
At AARP, we embrace and celebrate the vibrant Latino community here in Arizona and its unique characteristics. From the many countries of origin, expressive language, infectious music, and deep respect for family, these characteristics comprise a cultural identity that is a powerful source of strength and inspiration. Our identity brings us together, reminds us of who we are, and provides a foundation as solid as one could ask for during uncertain times.
As such, now is the perfect time to rely on our cultural strengths and passions to connect and thrive during this pandemic. A couple of those passions are música y baile (music and dancing)!
We are excited to invite you to take a trip down Music Memory Lane this coming Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 8:00-9:00pm PT with local favorite, St8Up Band, for a free virtual concert on our AARP Arizona Hispanic Connection page on Facebook Live.
Now, we all know that music and dance are amazing, but did you know that listening to music is scientifically proven to reduce stress and pain, while improving mood, memory, and providing comfort? Dancing offers all the same great benefits including physical fitness. So, come for the party, and leave happier and healthier!
We are living through unprecedented times, but we also have unprecedented resilience if we lean on one another to draw strength, inspiration, motivation, and ideas for making the most of challenges we face. We are excited to offer you this trip down Music Memory Lane and to connect with each other virtually, and thrive!
