AARP Eye Center

At AARP Tucson, we believe that vibrant, connected, and safe neighborhoods are essential to healthy aging and community well-being. That’s why we’re proud to support Tucson Cyclovia, a celebration of open streets that invites people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, roll, and explore their city in a fun, car-free environment.
Cyclovia reflects the goals of AARP’s Livable Communities initiative, which focuses on making communities more walkable, accessible, and socially engaging. Events like Cyclovia help reimagine how public spaces can be used—not just for transportation, but for connection, physical activity, and joy. Safe, welcoming streets are vital for every age.
During the event, we spoke with over 800 attendees, sharing information about AARP’s local and national advocacy efforts, upcoming events for adults 50+, and our vision for an age-friendly Tucson. We kept the momentum going with a bike and helmet raffle for one lucky winner, encouraging continued health and movement beyond the event!
Together with Cyclovia and local partners, AARP Tucson is working to build a more inclusive, livable Tucson.
