More Presentations Mean More Volunteer Opportunities

Real People: Senior Adult Business Woman Presentation Small Group
Jani Bryson

To meet growing demand and address pressing issues facing people 50-plus, AARP Arkansas has expanded its list of community presentation topics.  Civic, community and church groups will soon be able to book free presentations on topics such as Medicare, Social Security, caregiving, financial security, health care, fraud and more.

"We saw a need to increase our topics and expand our community presence," said Lou Tobian, Outreach Director. "More presentations mean more people will learn about AARP."

To help with these additional presentations, AARP developed  Do It Yourself (or DIY) Toolkits. These are ready-made, interactive presentations and supporting materials for AARP volunteers interested in leading local, community presentation.

AARP Arkansas is recruiting volunteers with public speaking skills to lead these presentations. Volunteers will receive a do-it-yourself kit for their specific topic, including a curriculum, webinar and supporting materials.

Interested in becoming a volunteer speaker or hosting a presentation? Email Lou Tobian at ltobian@aarp.org or call him at 501-217-1638.
