The Caregiver’s Cairn: On the Road Again

Greetings one and all...

It’s another glorious Spring morning in Denver. Blue skies and sunshine. However, we all know that Spring comes and goes along the Front Range. Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow! We certainly need the moisture, so I’ll tolerate one more blast of winter weather. Spring-like days return this weekend which will prompt me to get out and about. I love digging in the dirt this time of year. And, I welcome the opportunity to be on the road again—attending conferences and presenting programs throughout the state of Colorado. It’s time for some road tripping!

I have been invited to participate in several caregiving conferences this Spring—an honor indeed. I wanted to highlight the events in case you are interested in attending. I will be speaking on a variety of topics and apprising people of the amazing caregiving resources offered by AARP Colorado. I hope you see something of interest in the lineup. I would love to meet you when I am on the road again.

Personal and professional caregivers, care receivers, and community members are all welcome. I encourage you to take advantage of these educational opportunities. At each event, you can interact with exhibitors, attendees, and numerous speakers. Take good care and enjoy everything that the Spring season has to offer. Open your mind, heart, and spirit to the messages of a new season. I am excited to be on the road again—seeing new places, meeting new people, gaining new perspectives, and sharing innovative ideas and information. I hope our paths cross somewhere along the way!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I invite you to share your perspective on the caregiving journey. Make suggestions. Pose questions. Provide resources. Share your story. Coming together and sharing, we will improve the process for one and all. I look forward to continuing the conversation next month. Til then, enjoy the moment...Jane W. Barton
