What all can you expect to be on this year’s syllabus?

• An overview of Age-Friendly and Livable Communities

• An introduction to planning at the local level

• Designing housing for all ages

• Smart Growth America: The intersection of housing, transportation and the environment

• Pedestrian Safety and transportation

• Equity and Livability

• Creating social connections and reducing social isolation

The experience will be capped off by the two-day “Designing for All” conference on October 16th and 17th.

Application to the program is required, and space is limited.

“Informed community members and constituents are a powerful voice,” Volpe said. “The academy gives community members tools to amplify that voice.”
