Guided Walking Tours in Colorado Springs

Seniors Walking

Join us on Saturdays in September for Downtown Walking Tours in collaboration with the Colorado Springs YMCA. Downtown Walking Tours* are hour-long guided tours introducing the historic landmarks, contemporary artwork, and cultural highlights of Downtown Colorado Springs. The walks are designed to be inclusive and are themed, educational, social events that can bring communities together in a healthy and fun environment.

Tours will begin at the Downtown YMCA. Space is limited for each tour.

Guided Walking Tour - History

Discover the collection of bronze sculptures that dot Downtown’s landscape. Learn the stories behind these artworks, the legendary civic founders they represent, and the Downtown people and places that helped to shape our city.

Guided Walking Tour - Art

For 20 years, the annual Art on the Streets program has transformed our Downtown streets into an outdoor sculpture gallery. Stops sample the currently installed pieces and offer insight into the artists behind them.

Guided Walking Tour – Architecture

Developed by Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum staff, this tour introduces Downtown’s historic architecture, pairing information about architectural styles with tales of the buildings’ histories and tenants.

Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and a hat, along with an adequate supply of water.
