Dogwood Festival Brings More than Blooms

Print

It’s springtime in Georgia, and that means the 82nd annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival will soon be in bloom. The festival is a popular local tradition, with music, food, prizes and a marketplace featuring the works of hundreds of artists.

AARP Georgia will be there as well, offering fun activities at the AARP Block Party tent. Visitors can hop on a bike that spins paint from a drum, then take the spin-art home. They can play an augmented reality adventure game, take a free photo, help create a cool mosaic and pick up some new social media skills. Those who show an AARP membership card will receive a gift.

The free festival will be April 13-15 in Piedmont Park. Learn more at dogwood.org and aarp.org/ga.
