Before we know it, winter will be right around the corner. The declining temperatures will have us wanting to stay in our houses, but what does this mean for our bodies? Here are three ways you can continue to keep your body active during the winter.

Walk around the mall

Do you want to get your steps in for the day without walking outside? You can walk to a mall that is close to you! Many malls do open early to allow people to walk around the corridors of the mall. Walking the mall is an easy way to exercise to keep your body moving, dodge the mall crowd, and the tempting store sales!

Join a health club

If there is a health or fitness club that is near you, why not try it out! Getting involved in a health and fitness club is the perfect way to keep your body moving during the winter. Check your local fitness club to see if they off AARP discounts!

Dance Classes

Have you always wanted to take up a dance class? Whether it's ballroom dance, line dancing, or salsa dancing, moving your body to the beat of the music is always a fun way to keep your body active. Grab a couple of your friends and sign up for a local dance class.

At-home workout

If you do not want to leave the comfort of your home, then a home workout is the best way to go. You can look up fitness routine videos online to help your home workout routine. If you have trouble finding a video, AARP has a 15-minute fitness workout ready just for you!
