AARP Did Not Authorize or Participate in Production of DCCC Ad Targeting Republicans on Rx Drug Prices

WASHINGTON—AARP released the following statement today in response to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s (DCCC) citation of AARP in television advertisements. Said Colby Nelson, AARP spokesperson:

“AARP did not authorize or participate in the production of the DCCC’s ads. The DCCC ads mischaracterize an AARP article and include the unauthorized use of our logo. AARP is nonpartisan and is working with President Trump, Senators and members of Congress from both parties to lower drug prices. Americans are desperate for relief as they continue to pay the highest drug prices in the world, and polling shows voters want both parties to act.”
