Shredding activities offer residents an easy, free way to get rid of confidential materials. Experts recommend shredding old documents with personal info; unused checks, credit card receipts, unneeded medical bills, expired ID cards, and pre-approved credit card applications. AARP Georgia and Age-Friendly Macon-Bibb are sponsoring a free Shred Fest on Saturday, December 3, 2016, 10am – 2pm.
Change of Address:
Macon-Bibb County Senior Center
1283 Adams Street, Macon GA 31201
This event is part of the AARP Fraud Watch Network, which helps people fight back against fraud, identity theft, and scams. The Network is free of charge for everyone – members, non-members, and people of all ages and signing up provides the latest in scams taking place in your community. During the Shred Fest, AARP Georgia and Age-Friendly Macon-Bibb will also collect canned food donations for the Middle Georgia Food Bank to support families in need.
