Age-Friendly DC Mailer sent to AARP Members

AARP DC believes that an Age-Friendly DC must be built on the needs, intersts, and concerns of District residents.  What is working well in neighborhoods, what is missing, and what will residnets of all ages need to live and thrive in the District. 

In its effort to collect feedback from as many District residents as possible, AARP DC mailed a brocure to its members on August 8.  You can see an image of it below.  The mailer contains information on  the transformation of the District into an Age-Friendly City - what an Age-Friendly City is (a place where persons of all ages and abilities can live and thrive), the eight domains of civic life that make up an Age-Friendly City, and how the process is unfolding.  The mailier also contained a postage paid, tear-off postcard where AARP members could comment on what they want to see in an Age-Friendly DC.  If you are an AARP member, please fill out and return the postcard.

Other District residents can continue to weigh in by accessing an online survey https://www.research.net/s/AFCDC.  Comments on this survey and the mailer will be sent directly to the Mayor's Age-Friendly Task Force (to be stood up this fall).
