Capitol Catch-up with Melissa Sinden: Week 2 at the Capitol

Please check out the video below from Advocacy Manager Melissa Sinden as she gives insight as to what happened during week two of the Georgia Legislature. The content of her video text is below.

"It was an abbreviated week at the Georgia General Assembly due to the observation of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, inclement weather, and budget hearings. Several appropriations bills are now under consideration by the legislature. Next week, the legislature will be in session Monday-Thursday, and we will provide a report of relevant activity.

We also wanted to let you know about an upcoming volunteer Tele Town Hall on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. EST. The topic of discussion will be AARP’s state and community work planned for 2018. You can join the call by calling 877-209-3531. You can ask a question during the discussion, or submit one ahead of time by emailing volunteer@aarp.org. More information is available on the AARP Georgia website."
