Second Wind Dreams’ 2020 Virtual Caregiving Conference Focuses on Rural Caregiving

Are you a caregiver living in a rural area? AARP Georgia and Second Wind Dreams invite you to participate in the “Resources for Rural Caregiving: Finding the Hidden Treasures” 2020 virtual conference on Thursday, July 9, and Friday, July 10, from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event is free, but registration is required.

The conference will include a presentation from Second Wind Dreams’ founder and Virtual Dementia Tour Creator PK Beville on Empathic Person Centered Care. AARP Georgia Community Outreach and Caregiving Education Associate State Director Alice Bennet will give a presentation on Caregiving during COVID-19.

“Second Wind Dreams is an active community partner serving on our Age-Friendly Metro Atlanta Advisory Council. AARP Georgia values its partnership around empowering family caregivers with our Prepare to Care guides, tools, and other resources to improve their quality of life,” Community Outreach Associate State Director Kay Sibetta said.

The Georgia Division of Aging Services, the Southern Georgia Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging, and Second Wind Dreams will facilitate a live round table discussion on Delivery of Person-Centered Care and Caregiving Resources in Rural Areas.
