With the state legislative session set to begin on Monday, Jan. 6, AARP Idaho is looking for online activists to advocate for key priorities.
These include retirement savings options for employees without access to plans at work, better telehealth access for unpaid family caregivers and increased broadband in rural areas.
AARP Idaho alerts e-activists at critical points in the session when it’s important for elected officials to hear from constituents. Members can also speak with lawmakers during AARP Idaho’s telephone town halls.
AARP Idaho urges members to make their voices heard by signing up as e-activists at aarp.org/getinvolved and to attend AARP’s annual lobby day on Monday, Feb. 3.
Volunteers will tour the capitol, meeting and having lunch with legislators. To register, go to https://www.cvent.com/events/aarp-idaho-day-at-the-legislature-boise-2-3-2020/registration-23CA78CCDBC1409787EFD080CB22923F.aspx.
