On June 25, Sarah Waddle (AARP Indiana State Director) and Linda Dunno (AARP Indiana State President) traveled from the Indiana State Office at 1 North Capitol Avenue to Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. to attend the 2025 AARP Lobby Day. The summer weather was in full force with heat indexes reaching over 100 degrees. Sarah and Linda even came across a woman who had the sole of her shoe melted by the heat! Despite the heat, Sarah and Linda had a day full of meetings with legislators and their teams.
AARP Indiana volunteers have been making a difference when it comes to COVID-19 vaccine outreach.
AARP Indiana will host Indiana State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box for an informative, live telephone town hall March 4 to update AARP members and the community at large on Indiana’s COVID-19 vaccine availability, its distribution, and how Hoosiers can get it if they (and their doctors) believe it is the right choice for them.
Applications are currently being accepted through Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 8:00 p.m. ET.
