AARP AARP States Kansas Livable Communities

Envisioning More Livable Communities

Wichita Local
Jim Burger

AARP Kansas wants to know how it can help people live their best lives and make their communities a great place to call home.

The state organization’s Diversity Council is visiting cities across the state in 2019 to hear new ideas and share news about work already underway.

AARP staff and volunteers will discuss the association’s efforts, including the AARP Livable Communities initiative, which focuses on making cities and towns places where anyone can thrive.

The tour begins Friday, April 12, in Salina. Other stops will include Wyandotte County, on June 14; Pittsburg, on Aug. 9; and southwest Kansas, on Oct. 11.

Find specific times and locations of the stops at aarp.org/ks or facebook.com/aarpks. Or contact Andrea Bozarth at abozarth@aarp.org or 866-448-3619.
