AARP Kentucky Seeks Nominees for 2025 Andrus Award for Community Service: Deadline July 30
AARP is now accepting nominations for its 2025 Kentucky Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors Kentuckians 50-plus who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members. The annual award is named after AARP's founder, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus, who founded AARP in 1958 at the age of 73.

Volunteers across Kentucky are making a significant impact in communities every day. Honor their dedication, commitment, and creativity with a nomination for AARP’s most prestigious and visible state volunteer award for community service.

AARP Kentucky's final nominee receives $2,500 to support the non-profit of their choice.

Nominate an exceptional 50+ volunteer who meets the below eligibility guidelines.

Nominations for Kentucky close July 30.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Nominee must be 50 years or older.
  • Service must be volunteer-based, without pay (small stipends for volunteer activity costs are eligible).
  • Service must reflect AARP’s vision and inspire others.
  • Partisan political service is excluded.
  • Couples are eligible; teams are not.
  • Previous recipients, selection committee members, and AARP staff are not eligible.
  • This is not a posthumous award.
