AARP Eye Center
AARP Kentucky volunteers are hosting four Prepare to Care workshops in Louisville this June. The workshops will help people plan for the role of family caregiver.
“Unfortunately, most families don’t have a caregiving plan in place. This workshop tells you how to make a plan before the situation becomes a critical need,” said Deborah Turner, an AARP Kentucky volunteer. “The workshop is not only about the aging parent or the disabled adult who will need care, it is also about helping caregivers care for themselves.”
No matter where you are in the journey of family caregiving – whether you are beginning to anticipate a need, helping to coordinate a big move, or taking care of a family member full-time, having a good framework to help guide you and your loved one will make the process easier.
If you are a family caregiver, or think you might be one day soon, please come join AARP Kentucky at one of our workshops next week to learn about available support and resources to help you along your journey. Each session begins at 6:30 p.m. and will last about an hour. If you plan on attending, please register below.
