Speaker's Bureau Back to In-person Events, Able to Lead Sessions on Health, Finances, Caregiving

Hands and speech bubble.

AARP Louisiana’s Speakers Bureau volunteers have transitioned back to in-person events, offering an array of presentations to community groups, churches and social clubs.

Among the topics that trained AARP volunteers can address for those 50 and older: caregiving and caregiver resources; brain health; ways to avoid fraud and scams; financial security and Social Security; livable communities and driver safety; older workers and encore careers; and how to prepare for natural disasters.

Virtual events are still available on request.

To schedule a speaker, call LaTonya Scott at 225-252-1192 or email her at lsscott@aarp.org. Please provide at least five business days’ notice and offer several scheduling options. You can also complete a speaker request; to find a link for one, go to aarp.org/la.
