AARP Eye Center

AARP Maine’s 2025 Annual Meeting will bring together our vibrant community of volunteers, community partners, and lawmakers from across the state. We will celebrate our volunteers and highlight this year’s advocacy and outreach achievements on behalf of older Mainers. We’ll also recognize the recipients of our annual awards.
This year, we invite you to join us at Wolfe's Neck Center for Agriculture & the Environment in Freeport.
Highlights of the Annual Meeting include:
- A visiting exhibit from the Frances Perkins Center
- A keynote speaker
- An opportunity to explore the organic coastal farm and learn about the work of Wolfe’s Neck Center
We will also present AARP Maine’s four annual service awards:
Andrus Award for Community Service – AARP Maine’s most prestigious volunteer tribute, recognizing outstanding individuals age 50 and older who share their experience, talents, and skills to enrich the lives of others.
Steadfast Advocate Award – Honors a volunteer who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to improving the lives of older Mainers through advocacy.
Beacon Community Award – Recognizes a Maine town that is working creatively and persistently to become more livable and age-friendly for all residents, especially older adults.
Champion in Aging Award – Celebrates a Maine-based nonprofit organization that provides essential services to older adults through innovation and collaboration, even if its primary mission is not exclusively focused on aging.
Registration will open on September 5th! Registration information will be available starting on September 5, 2025 with an RSVP deadline of September 30, 2025.
