AARP Eye Center
AARP Maryland’s Speakers Bureau offers presentations on how to get involved with AARP and on a wide array of other topics aimed at people 50 and older. Since the pandemic, the talks have gone virtual.
Topics include support for Maryland’s more than 790,000 family caregivers, such as constructing a “Prepare to Care” plan; AARP Fraud Watch Network tips to avoid scams; coping with life after losses—be it the loss of physical abilities or a loved one; brain and body health; and learning to use Zoom, a platform for online meetings.
Volunteer speakers are trained by AARP Maryland on how to deliver engaging online presentations to community groups.
