The Massachusetts Senate passed a nursing home reform bill Thursday, July 25th. The Massachusetts House passed a bill last year. A conference committee will hash out the differences. That work needs to be done by July 31 when the formal legislative session ends. COVID-19 highlighted problematic issues at nursing homes, now is the time to address the reforms.

Both the Massachusetts House & Senate have passed legislation that will allow Accessary Dwelling Units (ADUs) to be built "by right". This would allow homeowners across the state to build units on their property. Currently, ADUs are regulated by cities and towns.
