AARP Community Challenge Grants fund projects that make tangible improvements to jump-start long-term change and improve livability. Applications were accepted through March 6, 2024, 5:00 p.m. Now in its 8th year, the AARP Community Challenge has invested over $16.4 million through 1,370 grants in communities across all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
AARP applauds the reintroduction of the Credit for Caring Act, bipartisan legislation that would provide up to a $5,000 nonrefundable federal tax credit for working family caregivers who routinely cut back on their own health care or dip into their savings each year.
